This current trend in gaming is going to end. The AAA titles are becoming much to expensive and time consuming. a lot of big companies are putting millions into there games on new graphics, voices, and Mocap but meany(especially in the west) have thrown both game play and simple story telling out the window. The game no longer tells the story the cutsceans do, you just play with non-story content is going of when they can they throw it in with interrupting the game play.
It this Hollywood mentally that is ruining a lot of gaming. now we have iterative movies rather then video games.
The funny is that they spend some much on these AAA titles that they need to sell ungodly amounts just to make a profit. And with cost going up every gen soon the amount of money spent will be more then the profit they could make if even the whole install base for the system bought the game.
From the way this is going we may see the grate crash of gaming due to evasive development cost.

>Is it similar to how old Star Trek fans feel about the crowds who are into the “Next Generation”.Honestly, I feel the same way for video games. I DO NOT like the changes to the industry. VGs feel alien to me now. And I think my hatred towards the “next Gen” VGs are justified. Everyone has their preferences…Fuck you Xbox Fanboys!
