So Opaline is not a pony like Twilight, right? Her wings and horn can be on fire. I don’t think it is just because she absorved Sparky’s flame. You can see that she loses it a bit because she still doesn’t have her full power.

I’m not even sure if they will have the manpower to model and animate them and render several new scenes. Given how almost lifeless Maretime Bay was, you could expect the same for the other races. And given the fact that they changed Twilight’s look. I honestly don’t know if they will get a downgrade. Plus, it’s gonna take a long time before the other species get their time to shine. The cloaking spell now ceased does knock out the impossibility that they could show up.
Yeah, I can completely get that and that they’re not going to have much of a budget for it. I am willing to bet they’d just copy & paste leaving tones of errors & more problems which is sad. It will only probably cause more complaints & people to not like G5 as it will only make G5 appear more “lazy then proper” unless they actually take their time with it which is doubtful.
But hopefully if they do give them their time to shine, I rly hope they use the potential and don’t miss it or rush it again to look poor/cheap.

Starlight has already messed with time, the consequences have been shown but simply locked away. I mean when did Twilight really create the Crystals?
According to the comic, it looks like it was relatively soon after “The Last Problem” takes place, after Opaline’s racist propaganda was implied to have started an Equestria-wide race war, with the Unity Crystals being created to prevent ponies from using magic to harm one another. And now “Make Your Mark” references Twilight putting up a cloaking field around all of Equestria to keep Opaline from messing with the crystals. It’s perfectly understandable that some fans would find that hard to swallow when you consider that:
a. Season 9 also had Chrysalis spouting bigoted BS to turn the pony tribes against one another, and the Mane Six managed to deal with that. And now when Opaline does the same thing, the Princess of Friendship is powerless to put a stop to it short of essentially blackmailing the ponies into being nice to each other. And after all the other supervillains the Mane Six had defeated, Twilight found it necessary to cut off Equestria from the outside world instead of blasting Opaline with rainbow lasers and chucking her into Tartarus. Yeah…
b. Celestia managed to maintain peace for over 1000 years, and under Twilight’s rule we see complete societal collapse in what looks like less than 30.

Fair enough point there with that, idek what the budget or time is for MYM but I believe its possible but depends on how they want to deliver it.

Yeah, a lot even the G5 movie was literally a copy & paste plot that already happened/was taken from G4, there isn’t rly much originality in G5 without most the plots just being C&P from G4. I don’t hate G5 but I do believe it could be a lot more better & original especially with how much potential they have or have already wasted.

The movie is fine even with the same basic premise. The show however tackled the same idea with same execution only slightly tweaked. Applies to characters too.
