I remember hearing about how Mike Vogel has been wanting to write a Princess Celestia episode since forever. I’d love an episode with her as the central focus!

FYI, Vogel was the VP of Marketing at Hasbro Studios, not the VP of the entire thing. And he’s one of the executive producers of the 2017 movie.
 
He’s also in the credits of several of the IDW comics.

I found a tumblr post from 4 months back of someone quoting him about wanting to write Celestia. Gonna do more digging.
 
EDIT: Found where that info came from: SDCC2015 pony panel, during the Q&A session Mike Vogel said he would like a Celestia episode.

Wait, right’s right. He was the VP of Development, not marketing. I linked a great interview where he talked about his old job. He was basically a go-between for TV shows and related toys. Great toys don’t always translate into great entertainment, and great entertainment doesn’t always translate into great toys. He described it a bit like being “a traffic cop”.

Pretty sure Jayson Thiessen is the one directing the movie, and I think he said on Twitter after the finale aired that season 5 was his last season.

A real return for Sombra would nice. With his personality being an expy of Kimi Raikkonen’s, yes, I know I have spam that several times now, but trust me, it would work perfectly. Plus, it would make for hilarious fanwork!
