Which actually makes for a decent subversion of he map missions, come to think of it - sometimes, meddling does just make things worse.

I personally think you can get a better teaching experience about friendship from your family and school rather than a show, but even then I’ll give them points for trying to teach teaching morals whether it gets botched or not.

Yeah, there are some things that can be learned, but learning everything about real life from the show, in particular because they’re under the influence of Equestrian friendship magic all hours of the day while the real world has none of that, is setting oneself up for a really bad time.

Rather depends on how good your family and school are, doesn’t it? Best to expose kids to the right lessons as much as possible.

It won’t teach you everything, but it’s usually at least mostly right about friendship IMO. Which is what makes the cases where it isn’t more aggravating.

I disagree - sure, it never again reached such heights, but it had plenty of room to fall before becoming unworthy. Even managed a couple of resurgences.
