Exactly! Even if they’re not searching for their Cutie Marks (which - like soundtea said - got old after around S2 or so), that doesn’t mean there aren’t any more stories that can be told about them. If anything, I think they’ll become
better characters once they have their marks; the best Crusader episodes tend to be the ones where they aren’t trying to get their marks and the writers instead focus on their individual characters.
And hell, I’d
love to see some episodes where they interact with the other foals of Ponyville. Maybe do an episode about them searching for buried treasure with Pipsqueak, or watching birds with Featherweight or maybe helping Diamond Tiara study for a test? Seriously, there have been plenty of good shows that focused on growing up and dealing with childhood issues - there is literally
no reason the writers couldn’t pull something like this off.
