Equestria had mostly because a desert landscape after the incident. The land was hot and there wasn’t much plant life in the area.

There is a ‘pony’ driving north in a custom automobile.

This pony noticed a small outpost, it could be great for raiding.

Said pony drives towards the outpost, stopping about a mile away behind a sand dune. The pony heads for the outpost on hoof, ready to draw a weapon if she is noticed.

A mare was dragging a rather large bag, she wasn’t exactly strong enough to lift it.

The pony approaches the outpost and calls out to the mare, “what’re you doing?” She has a very odd-looking firearm in her hands.

“I could help you with that. You wouldn’t even have to lift.” This doesn’t sound like an offer the mare should take up…if you catch my drift.

She doesn’t take it. “I have my own source of food, come to think of it. But thanks for the offer. Know where I can get some scrap? Wouldn’t mind any electronic equipment or components, either. A hardware store would be perfect right about now…”

???: O-Oh! Well, I just came back from an abandoned buy-in-bulk store. Should probably have what you need. I’m kinda shocked nobody went after it yet, well, except for me. Then again, things happen.

Upon closer inspection of the mare, she appeared to be a shark pony with a rather large tail. The back of her seat had a hole to accommodate that.
