lying
It seems to be overwhelmingly used for horizontal poses rather than for telling a lie, which are homonyms.
For horizontal poses, there’s
lying down. “lying” could:
- be aliased to “lying down” on the assumption that it’s misused so much it’s worth sacrificing the other meaning. lie is barely used, though.
- be renamed to something less ambiguous (aliased to a brand new tag), such as “telling a lie”
- have a tag description added, defining it as “telling a lie” and instructing people to use “lying down” for the pose. In my opinion, this is the least helpful option because tag descriptions are easily missable and ignored.
ponyloaf currently implies “lying”, so if there’s a definition change, it’d need to be adjusted.
