Colored tags: What do they mean exactly?

Could there be any sort of explanation or description with the tag colors and what they mean? Is there any specific point to them as far as organization, and specifically what they are? (I can take a few guesses, such as blue being specifically rating tags, but I don’t want to assume)

I’m also mainly curious about the pink tags ([comic:] and [series:]) because I’m certain I’m missing a few of those and I’m not sure which ones.

And finally, to top this all off, could this be something useful to add to the Tag Guidelines? I can imagine it being confusing at first to a new user, or at minimum super helpful in helping a new user get their bearings.

Here’s some info on the colors (associated with tag categories) themselves.

As for what exactly falls into each category, especially for prefixes, that’s something I hope someone else can explain in more depth.

I would hope that this information could be more readily available somewhere, because while I may not use that directly, it is very useful for understanding how to quick-identify tags.
