I do remember it once being the case that "decapitation" and "decapitated" were different tags, but at some point a ton of things got aliased into "decapitation" to make it a huge catch-all. I had suspected that people liked it this way because of ease of filtering, but at this point there seems to be a consensus the aliasing is incorrect.
As well, seems pretty clear now that "detachable head" should be the main tag covering modular scenarios. I might make a final thread to go over the addition of that alongside fixing "decapitation". At any rate, what's really at issue here is "severed head" vs "headless", with "decapitation" as this unfortunate tag-along that nobody invited.
