[Interactive FiMfic] Equestrian Parliament

A long, long time ago, a pony Tetriarchy formed by a council of four alicorn princesses hold all the power on Equestria, and were highly regarded by their people. Bloodthirsty invaders and wannabe dictators confronted them, but, basing their goals on love and global understanding, they fought back and won.
 
That is, until that fateful day…
 
When Princess Celestia, the older and wiser of the princesses confided the following statement to her sister Luna…
 
“I’M A BANANA!!!”
 
Well, that was bad. The stress of thousands of years of ruling caused Celestia to lose it, simple and plain. After some weeks of non-careful treatment based in cold showers and electroshocks provided by the generosity of the pegasi on the Cloudsdale Council, Celestia considered it was time for a change. She couldn’t rule Equestria along with just three pones: it was time for the general citizenship to rule itself, with their help, obviously.
 
And so, Twilight Sparkle announced, to great impact, the creation of the Equestrian Parliament.
 
And now, YOU, my fellow brony or pegasister, you, the first to answer, will elect who Tia, Luna, Cadence and Twily will choose as the the interim and foundational President of the Equestrian Parliament.
 
So… Who will it be? (Ponies only… At the moment…)

Well, I will continue from here…
 

 
In order to secure a slow but steady transition to a parliamentary monarchy, Prince Blueblood was chosen as the first President and Chairman of the Equestrian Parliament. Another reason for him being elected was that he was the only pone in all Canterlot to own an empty palace occuping tree blocks (known as the Cocky Wink-Wink Nudge-Nudge Wolfwhistle Estate by the people).  
Much to his dismay, his CWWNNWE was promptly converted in a Parliament, with its floor, its cafeteria, its dove-attracting statues of the four princesses, its offices, its clubs…  
However, there was something missing: members. After the restoration works of the castle, Luna called the pones for free elections. There were, of course, legal political parties in Equestria, which remained fairly inactive until then…
 
OK, guys, name your very own political party.

The Par-tay Party, headed by Pinkie Pie, naturally aiming to increase leisure time and providing counties with state-funded social events to improve morale and productivity.

The Coalition of Equestrian Dragons, a merger of sorts between the radical Congress Of Free Dragons, headed by Garble and the moderate Reptiles Alliance for Reconciliation, Integration, Tolerance and democracY (RARITY), headed by Spike.  
Currently in an internal fight for the head between the two factions, which resulted in the first primary elections ever held in Equestria.

Well I believe that it is fare enough for Twalight Sparkle to be Forign Minister of the Equestrian State,the reason why I chose her is because if you look at the other Princesses,she is the only one who know to how to befriend a country which agrees to this new republic and can give a second change to enemies of the state but in some cases a firm warning to those who want to destroy this new republic.
 
Here are some of my ideas on how the equestrian governmant should operate  
1.Elections should be held every 5 years and a president can only serve for 10 years.  
2.There should be certain departments for each part of the people’s lives for excample  
Apple Jack for Agriculture Minister  
Rarity for Economic Minister  
Flutter Shy for Education Minister  
Pinkie Pie for Communities Minister  
Rainbow Dash for Health Minister  
Twalight Sparkle for Foreign Minister

Oh,by the way the Equestrian parliament should be Unicameral

First of all, agreed, Equestrian government should be unicameral: in countries like mine, the Senate is a worthless waste of taxes. Equestria should have only one Parliament for the Legislative decisions and discussions, while the Executive power falls on Tia or Luna’s hooves. And that links to…

-I think you nailed it with Twily. She’s a natural born diplomat. Also, I think she would not belong to any Party, being a princess and all: she would be a wonderful independent politician.
