Has anyone watch Ren and Stimpy before?

I like R&S (disregarding the unfortunate things creator John K. committed, but he wasn’t involved in the show anymore after the first season & a half) I didn’t really care for the “R&S Adult Party Show” personally.

While I don’t mind poopy/fart humor sometimes, I have my limits, and I felt R&S was more appealing when it was a kid show that got away with some rather crude, and adult jokes, but it still had a certain classyness & dignity about it, and a retro style wacky cartoon charm about it.
So not having that “kid show” limit kinda took away that appeal, that classyness, and allowed them to go a li’l overboard with being a grossout edgy show, rather then a legitimately funny cartoony throwback one.

The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

@ExtreVile
I remember when it first came out.

I liked it at first (Kilted Yaksmen and the Museum episodes are two of my favorite episodes), but as it focussed more on gross-out humor, became increasingly cynical and Ren becoming what I considered an unlikeable jerkass, I walked away.

Honestly, I always liked Rocko’s Modern Life more; I tend to prefer when I find more characters I either sympathize with, find likeable, or that make me laugh and want to see more.

Normal is overrated
I’ll admit, I have a soft spot for a lot of animated films from the 90’s that had Disney style musical numbers in them. I’m not talking about ones that try to copy the animation and stories like Quest for Camelot but the ones that you wouldn’t expect them to have like Tom and Jerry: The Movie and Rover Dangerfield.

I also love these Disney style musical numbers.

Right About Everything
I’m now looking forward for season 2 of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.
Who else is hyped about it?

Mega hyped. I just hope it can retain the magic.

Rover Dangerfield was pretty underrated, and sadly forgotten. It was a great vehicle for Rodney’s style of comedy, and “getting crap past the radar” moments, being a family film.

I watched it about a month ago and I agree with you. I’m thankful it was made in an era where CGI was at it’s infancy because otherwise we would have gotten an live action movie with a creepy motion capture cross eyed dog.

Some early CGI movies were pretty messed up looking, I admit. Still, 2D did suit Rodney Dangerfield better. Apparently, the movie was based on an idea he had, so he kinda created it too.

Though, nowadays star/comedian-driven animated cartoons/movies (like John Candy’s “Camp Candy”) kinda died off.

MLP episodes like today’s just make me more excited for more Ducktales next month.

There’s an upcoming Ducktales episode titled, “Friendship Hates Magic!”.

Because Ducktales took risks and has teeth and depth that only the best Equestria girls work can even rival, while MLP has Over a Barrel, Ducktales legit had the guts to make people uncomfortable by making it clear microaggressions are bad,

The movie or the series? Because I really like the series, where it’s revealed that the annoying brat that keeps bothering you is the Chosen One.

I had Rover Dangerfield on VHS.
