Fair. Though I wouldn’t consider it an example of “Bury Your Gays,” since the Queens’ death was pretty much known from the beginning–Aanya is only ten years old, so it’s pretty much implied that she has no parents–and it wasn’t played up for shock value. Plus, their sacrifice isn’t for nothing. They die in the same battle that takes Queen Sarai, Callum and Ezran’s mom, but the end result saves both Katolis and Duren.

Consider, Raya finally kills someone and it’s claudia, causing Callum and Claudia’s brother to go down paralleling paths where Callum manages to accept that it was a necessary act of defense after a while, while her Brother becomes worse than their dad and wants to genocide the elves,

IDK, i don’t much expect him to pull full eviler than thou, tbh, the elves already seem to have shaky grounds and having one of them be the biggest bad would be lame unless they can make that janai lady into a really awesome hero antagonist or something to juxtapose properly,

One of the reasons I like Dragon Prince is I’ve got no idea what’s going to happen. Viren is a giant prick (not only because he’s scheming and ruthless, but also because he’s foolish, sulky and poorly understands his own motives) but he’s not entirely unsympathetic, I could see him finding redemption if he’s made to understand that his actions are harmful. And his kids are sweethearts (especially Claudia) but the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree, they have a sense of stubborn righteousness that could easy make them proper antagonists with the right motivations.
 
Even scary deep voiced mirror guy hasn’t done anything straight out evil yet, or given us any insight into his motivations.

Exactly. I thought I had something of an idea about where it would go after season one, but now I don’t know what to believe. Hell, I figured it would take longer to get to Xadia than it did.

Watched a few Dragon Prince fight scenes, they were pretty good,

The show was a little hard to watch in the early episodes because of the choppy animation (which they thankfully fixed in season two), but I’ll agree that the fight scenes were on point.

i think only one of the 2 i watched was season one, Raya vs Amaya at some winter lodge, the other one was when Amaya noped the fuck out when janai got her hand stuck in a fucking cliff,
