Not just before sleep, but if you go like a week or so without doing it you’ll start to on rare occasion. It’s very vague and statistical/probabilistic, but in general it’s like a week I think?
Your body produces stuff and needs to get rid of it, if you don’t, then it will through wet dreams.
So basically if you feel like it really badly but don’t, then it’s a lot more likely.
Wiki time!
So I’m only vaguely right, but it looks like the data does lean towards what I said.
…Also, I had no idea before now that they weren’t that uncommon among females. Probably even more common if you count getting moist. What’s funny is I actually find that more cute than hot.
I think it’s all because of this image.
Which I’m pretty sure isn’t supposed to be a wet dream but sure looks like one
And, well, the fact that apparently this experience is more relatable to girls than I thought, and thus being a girl is suddenly more relatable than I thought.
I used to hate the heck out of wet dreams in adolescence, always being humiliated and needing to hide the fact it had happened. It was a huge cause of stress (I was very,
very afraid of taking a nap in school, lest I have one and get a wet spot on my pants in school, or anywhere else in public!), and really keyed into my anxiety.
I remember once I had one on a trip with my parents and freaking out to heck and back almost like crying because I’d woken up with one in the hotel in the night and was trying to wash the underwear in the bathroom and for some reason was terrified of my parents finding out. That’s anxiety for you. And that kind of anxiety and humiliation over stained underwear shows part of why diapers are so great to me.
Funny thing, I’d always been absolutely terrified I’d have one at a sleepover, then I met that friend who was into diapers, and I spent the night at his place and we had diapers, and that was the one time I’ve ever had a wet dream on a sleepover - when wearing a diaper, hah. Granted, it’s easier to hide a damp underpants than a wet diaper, but I still managed just find, and I found that so neat the diaper had “saved me” that I didn’t freak out too much about hiding it… (his parents and two siblings were there, so hiding it was necessary)
But also like Mike, I had wet dreams all the time before I started masturbating but once I did they became super rare.
Random note, but I find it absolutely lovely that an unusually huge fraction of images with the “masturbation” tag include diapers…
to this day I carry a change of clothes in my backpack in case of anything. Fortunately the only time I’ve needed it is once I got sweaty in a hot room so I changed my shirt. I didn’t in high school, but in college everyone is more sovereign and privacy invasions are rare if ever.
I love having this account. I would never say this stuff if people could tie this to IRL me, haha. But that honestly wouldn’t be all that bad. But I feel like this anonymity gives me the courage to say stuff that a surprising amount of people find surprisingly relatable and perhaps helps them realize they’re not so weird or alone in those experiences.
But maybe they wouldn’t feel that way in the first place if this stuff wasn’t white-washed out of fiction so much. I remember reading a book where the character woke up from a wet dream and they had a response that really helped me, and that opened my eyes to “other people have this?”.
Or maybe I was just too good at hiding it as a kid or my parents were too shy or oblivious, hah.
