I’m just waiting to see how everyone comes back together. Also, it’ll be funny to hear more of Donald voiced by Don Cheadle.

The season finale was great. I loved how they brought up how It’s sometimes difficult to figure out what Donald Duck is saying at times.

Now this is how you make a proper season finale, for Bark’s sake. God, I wish FiM could have been more like Ducktales and less like it’s present self.  
We need more series like this one, where the staff cares about it and proves it with great results instead of mere words or “pls understand” bullshit.
 
Was also great to see Donald having his long awaited moment of glory and the final scene was great for setting up the next season’s theme.  
I also loved how they used the NES Ducktales game Moon theme for extra effect.

The problem is that FiM is stuck doing morals about friendship and not taking any risks like DuckTales and other shows that came after FiM debuted.

Ducktales also finished the season with a huge moral about families.  
It’s all about the skill and dedication of the staff behind of each series, I suppose.
 
I can’t wait for the next season, that cliffhanger was perfect.

Not to mention that despite all the seemingly mature moments in the show and the flaws that have piled over the year, that FiM is still a kid’s show selling toys

Fucking called it that it boiled down to Webby vs Magica. Someone then remembered that “oh yeah, I guess Scrooge should take too” so we get a lame ass rushed anticlimactic end at the very last minute. How sadly appropriate that this had David Tennant, since this reminded me a lot of that godawful Series 3 finale to NuWho. All that’s missing is the whole cast using “good will” vibes or whatever BS that was to bring Scrooge back.
 
Don Rosa was right on the money when he called this abomination an in name only take on his and Barks’ work. What a disgrace.
 
We really need some new blood come Season 2 because the current staff have proved they don’t give a damn. Maybe Matt Danner can join since I think he’s free?

Why are you still watching the show if you don’t like it? Most of us enjoyed how the climax went, along with the scene at the end showing that Delia is still alive and waiting to be rescued.

Just finished the episode. I loved how they managed to mix in comedy with epicness like they did in Gravity Falls XD
 
Wonder how Donald handled Fenton’s shadow as Gizmoduck. Also, Delia, though…

It’s even funnier considering she was an almighty sorceress and now she’s completely powerless.

You know, it just clicked on me: the reason why Scrooge has Gyro around, funds his crazy investigations and even has him as the head of his R&D team?  
It’s to have more chances of discovering a way to find Della.

I haven’t even bothered trying to to finish the rest of Season 1 in a while, and Ive skimmed enough from synopsis or YouTube clips to see I didn’t miss anything watching the full episodes. I probably wouldn’t even bothered learning anything about those if I wasn’t going to try to check out Season 2 after seeing the previewed footage, since the pilot and about 2-3 episodes after that were genuinely good even if the rest of the show played it safe and had little effort put into it.
 
Really, it’s kind of amazing how Woo-oo feels like it’s almost from a completely different show.

The original Magica de Spell is exactly like that: a woman who has no real powers of her own and relies on amulets, potions and her wits to get what she wants.  
Even her famous Foof Bombs are nothing but glorified stun grenades.

Please don’t insult the show runners just because they add stuff that wasn’t in the old comics/cartoon. Reboots are meant to have new concepts while mixing them in with ones from the original and DuckTales 2017 has been doing that very well.

She was italian, lived next to mount Vesuvious and made a living selling (genuine) magic potions to whoever could afford them.  
The reason she wanted Scrooge’s first dime is because on her introductory story she was buying coins belonging to rich people to use them as components for a magic amulet that was supposed to grant her the power to turn anything she touched into gold. Scrooge just sells her some pocket change and dismiss her as a loon, but then he notices that he accidentally included his first dime among the other coins, so he runs after Magica to get it back.
 
Magica realizes out that since that coin in particular has been with the world’s richest man for decades, it’s the world’s most powerful magic component for her amulet and refuses to give it back, since Scrooge freely sold it to her and so, it genuinely belongs to her. Scrooge takes the coin back by force, and that’s the origin of Magica’s crazy grudge against McDuck.
 
Magica CAN create her amulet using normal coins, but Scrooge made it personal and that’s why she’s decided to get Scrooge’s number one dime and make the old guy’s life as miserable as possible whenever she can.
