A large part of the reason I already love it is that, reading the TvTropes page, there’s a major character who is a classic “physically violent tsundere girl” and I rolled my eyes, thinking “Oh boy, another sadsack protagonist getting his ass kicked by the love interest, can’t wait!”, but it turns out, said tsundere focuses all of her rage towards the actual pervert (who happens to be a girl herself).
 
Heck, she even calls attention to this fact, asking why is she getting beat up, everybody knows it’s the guy who always gets beat up in these sorts of shows!

Said girl also ends up being the least popular of the heroine trio because of how violent she gets to the monsters. The public views her as the bad guy bullying the invaders!

Asuka Langley is tsundere.

Girls und Panzer OVAs and first movie. At the end of the series, I did cynically think that the suit could just say “I never said the school would stay open if you won.“ But I was quite surprised when it actually happened. Anyway, I loved this movie. The characters are great, the fights are very fun. I particularly liked the final fight. That is how you fucking build up the final boss. Don’t just talk about how badass they are, have them take out like 10 tanks, including a 1v5, without breaking a sweat. I did start to think that maybe I like this show because I don’t know anything about tanks, not despite it. There are moments that look pretty implausible, but I can suspend my disbelief because I don’t know anything about tanks. Also sometimes I couldn’t tell who’s talking when it’s just the tanks on screen. But that’s just nitpicking. Overall, very fun.
 
As for the OVAs, the Anzio ep was great, Anchovy is real cute. I wish the series had more scenes with the team practicing, but I guess that’s what you lose with only 12 eps. Beach ep was alright, Yukarin had the best swimsuit imo. The afterparty was great. Hippo team had the best show. Alice ep was cute.
 
Also decided to give first few eps of My Hero no Academia a try. Honestly, if I went into this blind, I would’ve dropped it at the first ep. But I like that they are making the main character physically work for his destiny. I kinda hope there’s a shift in his attitude soon. I can’t expect him to act like a seasoned pro this early, but it’s getting a bit much. You’re the Chosen One, motherfucker, stop crying. But then again, it might be more interesting if Deku didn’t act the same as everyone else? Also, I really hope they characters around him become more likable. All Might is alright, but Tsundere-Childhood Friend-Rival and Love Interest not doing it for me right now.
 
Also started Net-juu no Susume as my backup if I get tired of Academia. I know there’s a jillion anime about MMOs, but this one feels very different. No focus on the fights at all, it’s all about the relationships made on-line. But they also talk about real life in-game and they cut to real life often, which makes me think they’ll explore the relationships both in- and outside the game. Might be interesting, might get bored and I’d just drop for something more fun.

Yep. Dustcan calls it “very stupid, but in a good way!”, so I’m game. I’ve also heard it called the “Best Bad Anime of 2014”, so it should be fun!

I remember that anime and is really dumb fun also when my friend found about it he just looked at me because I apparently have a thing for twintails.

My God. Just watched the first episode of Gonna Be A Twin-Tail!! and it truly is wonderfully “stupid funny”. The first villain is an imposing lizard man in dark armor, but acts like a goofy pervert with a “moe” obsession (his minions actually carry around a couch covered in stuffed animals and other cute things).
 
And if that wasn’t ridiculous enough, Souji (our protagonist) is given a bracelet that gives him superpowers. The first time he uses said superpowers, the first thing he notices is he’s now sporting two long, glorious, bright red twintails that literally glow with power.
 
The second thing he notices is that he’s a girl now.
 

 
This series is gloriously dumb.

Watching Digimon Tri for the first time  
There’s something about hearing the (mostly) original VAs, with the original soundtrack make my inner child very happy.

 
I for one, appreciate receiving this bait-n-switch.

Gonna Be The Twin-Tail!! continues to be more ridiculous. The evil organization plans on ways to defeat TailRed.
 
One suggests slowing down her incredible speed…by dressing her in a frilly maid outfit.
 
One suggests dampening her fire-powers by flooding her with water…so her clothes stick to her and show a bit more skin.
 
And another suggests just tying her up…shibari-style.

I know right? I didn’t even care for digimon much back then, though Tri is a bit of a mixed bag, it’s not bad but I don’t think I’d call it the best Digimon has to offer either
