Unlike Sony, where their decision came from the top execs. The case with Steam is somewhat opposite where it is the lower echelon employees going rogue against their executive overlords’ wishes.

What’s funny is the IRL was “Twitter super smash bros ultimate ahegao faces” so they changed the title to be about HORNY FANS! and THIRSTY MEN! Even though, most are for comedy, as many of the replies are laughing at it and aren’t all female characters.

I don’t know, the article doesn’t seem to be bashing on anyone. It’s straightforward and direct, and most of it are just tweets. Hell, one of them even used a meme. The only exception is the last part, where the writer states that she wants ahegao faces from anime boys. Which to be fair, I’d want to see too.

Basically, writers blame fans for Battlefield V selling so bad, EA’s stock had reduced by several million $$$. THey bring up feminism and the works, and the say that “history is very subjective” and that historians are just “piecing random bits and pieces, making an inaccurate idea of what that time period was like”.
 
They’re trying to rewrite history through video games.

Let’s just ignore all written records and pretend history is exactly like fucking paleontology. For God’s sake, WWII is one of the best documented events in human history, but no, “They’re basically guessing, we don’t really know what happened”.  
Not to mention you can actually see what inspired the different BFV campaigns if you know your WWII history.

I know this thread is about Gamergate and I have said many times that we should change the title to shitty video game company/journalism/etc practices in general, but I should still post this here.

Basically, Blizzard has been listening to Activision and are changing their company policy from making quality time-consuming games to cheap quick quantity-over-quality games. Many employees were surprised when this was brought up during meetings, and were worried about Blizzard’s shift of focus.
 
The “paying staff to quit” part was always there as buyouts, but originally it was designed for veteran customer service representatives. Now, however, it’s included QA and IT and they’ve lowered the number of years from the initial 5 years of service.

Mary Sue: STOP GIVING PEOPLE THAT BOUGHT YOUR GAME WHAT THEY WANT! THEY’RE ENTITLED! YOU SHOULD ONLY PANDER YOU US!!
 
Literally in the article they make demands on what creators should do, because it’ll make them happy in stead of what would make the fans who actually bought the products happy.
