Nope, they’re all different now. And there are a total of 50 Seashells this time, and you have to get all 50 of them to get the sword upgrade, which is now called the Koholint Sword.

That’s cool actually it now has a name. Does it still shoot beams? (Let me guess, they upgraded it with the swirling beam like “Link to the Past,” right?)

It’s kinda hard for me to explain unless you have the original Gameboy cartridge, and not the Color DX one.

Also, after you completing the trading sidequest and obtained the Boomerang, you can buy back whatever item you traded to the Goriya for 300 Rupees.

…Oh, turns out the Koholint Sword is the reward for 40 Secret Seashells. No idea what the reward for all 50 of them is though.

I’m getting Link’s Awakening for Christmas.

The game is all a dream.

Once they announce an official release date of the “Breath of the Wild” sequel, I’m going to do my one-month playthrough of the first one again.

Or actually… Link might’ve been trapped in a Dream World, so there’s more to it then the typical “it was all a dream” trope. The ending even shows the Windfish was real, meaning his dream island/world was kinda real too. Not to mention, Marin gets her wish at the end of the game. A truely beautiful bittersweet moment, and why this is my favorite Zelda ending sequence. Can’t wait to see the animated version, but I wanna wait ’till I get the game.

I never did beat the original Game Boy title.

There are a couple Secret Seashells that are VERY obtuse to figure out how to get. In Tal Tal Heights and the Tal Tal Mountain Range, there are these holes in a few areas where, if you toss a Bomb into them, a Secret Seashell will pop out for you to collect. …Except nothing in the game even hints at this. (I’m pretty sure these ones weren’t in the original game either)
