I don’t think Super Princess Peach not getting re-released had anything to do with the controversy. Nintendo tends to not really care about that sort of thing. I think they just never got around to it.

Well, Bowser must have multiple castles since they obviously look different in each game.

Maybe, but who knows, as it’s a shame “Super Princess Peach” has kinda fallen into obscurity, as I hear it’s not bad, despite the controversy.

In some games, (Like “3D Land”) Bowser even is shown to have several castles. So it’s pretty much already confirmed he has more then one. Plus, after one is destroyed, he has to build another.

I usually just consider the RPGs a different canon from the main games. It’s even sort’ve confirmed in the crossover “Paper Jam” showing the world of Paper Mario, and the M&L series are different canons.

Really now? So you don’t imagine that the Marios in the Paper Mario and M&L games don’t have memories of their adventures in the main games?

Yeah, they brought it back in Super Mario Maker 2 during a recent update.

I don’t think it was because of any controversy but rather the difficulty of the game felt too easy at times.

Didn’t stop other easy games from getting rereleased too like “Yoshi’s Story.”

Coolies! I always felt Nintendo/Miyamoto ignored the Gameboy games too much. (Probably ‘cause Super Mario Land 1&2 weren’t made by the usual Mario team.) So it’s nice to see any regard for them.

I know that, but granted some take place in different lands like the BeanBean kingdom.

Not exactly, I feel the RPG Mario stories, and main platformer games are different stories.

The Superball is in SMM2 it also changes the music to, Super Mario Land. And one thing I like about the Superball is the fact that most people make levels to take advantage of the Superball and it makes Geometry to get well F’ed.

I guess you can say that, but basically it comes down to the Miyamoto logic “screw continuity,” so I don’t really try to make sense of the Mario canon/canons/timelines/ect.

Sounds interesting that players/makers are already cleverly utilizing it. I wonder what other future updates they’ll have for the game.
 
I kinda wish they’d impliment the flying squirrel suit, I always found it odd they instead use the Wii Propeller Cap Suit with the NewSMBU graphics set instead.

What exactly is the controversy for super Princess peach anyway

Basically, some tried to say the game had “unfortunate implications” with it’s emotion form gimmick, likening it to PMS, or stereotypes of women being “overly-emotional,” and therefore tried to claim the game was “sexist.” After that, the game itself became harder to find on store shelves, and it never got a rerelease with other DS games on WiiU, or 3DS.
 
Considering the story that the vibe sceptre (or whatever it was) effected the whole kingdom turning even the enemies you encounter into emotional wrecks, actually Peach was the only one whom could control their emotions.

I don’t think the “controversy” had anything to do with it. I think it just didn’t sell well due to lack of marketing.
 
Heck, most people just made jokes about the emotion-based gameplay.

Yeah, true, but there are worse out there, and at least she’s shown to kick butt occasionally.

Possibly, but I hope some day they can rerelease it. (I really hate how it’s almost always the games I don’t own that never get rereleases like that, or “Super Mario Sunshine.”)
 
Some called it Super PMS Peach, I remember.

There’s now a movement to get Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door remastered on Switch.

Nice! Although I think it would also be nice if the N64 game and Super Paper Mario were remastered on Switch as well.

Would be cool, but other then being HD, I can’t see how else it’d be different.  
It would be a nice opportunity to fix some flaws, like some of the tedious missions, and such.

Agreed, those were good games too.

It would be nice if the next 3D Mario game had real co-op instead of having one player control mario and do most of the work while the other player only controls the cursor.
