Best fighting game goes to not-a-fighting-game-maybe! VICTORY!

Hopefully, we get that announcement for the final DLC fighter of the first pass soon.

Well, Smash surprised us…

No reveal. Looks like the last fighter is getting shadowdropped at best.

The only good thing about this year’s awards was Reggie and the Muppets. Other than that, crap!

Okay, I admit I was joking with friends like “Hey, what if Fighter #5 doesn’t get a big announcement and is just slipped into the game while nobody’s watching?”
 
I didn’t think they would actually forgo the big announcement.

Honestly, I don’t think Nintendo had any plans to announce a new fighter at the VGAs. I think everybody just assumed that they would because of how big of an event it is.

I doubt that. Nintendo must not have felt that it had anything to really announce during the game awards other then Bravely default 2.

Fret not, friends. That day will come, but for now let us celebrate the Ultimate Anniversary before the next decade.

Also, it would have been the perfect time to get the fans excited for the 5th fighter and possibly hint at what is after that.

Probably also because Joker’s announcement was at last year’s Game Awards.

Ehh were not topping Piranha Plant anyway.
 

Also, we were never actually promised a Smash reveal. It’s kind of our fault that we got fooled by some fake “leaker”.

You are correct that we never actually got confirmation. But you’d think they’d have something to show the millions who watched, some of whom tuned in purely out of the hope there would be a reveal.
