Most horrifying backstory yet. We all know Junkrat’s a little crazy, but he manages. Sigma, on the other hand, literally could not function because whatever happened in that black hole broke his mind into pieces.

Sounds about right. Also, I never really looked deep into the whole “melody” bit, but I just found out it’s based on the Music of the Spheres aka Musica Universalis, a philosophical concept that regards the size and movement of celestial bodies as a form of “music”.
Which is pretty neat.

Sigma seems to have full-blown schizophrenia (hearing music no-one else can hear is one known symptom), as well as possibly Dissociative Identity Disorder, a.k.a. “split personality” (I say possibly because many psychiatrists doubt its existence due to how incredibly varied it can present itself as), so he probably needs intense therapy more than technological help.
As evil as Talon is, they were able to work with Sigma enough to get him to a functional level of sanity again.
