Many, many times I spoke directly to mosque board members, muslim clubs, or any event organizers voicing my complaint whenever they invite guys who knows would start by condemning everybody to hell without knowing jack shit about local community.

Urgh, I hate it when mosques hire Muslim preachers that start off with some stupid “going to Hell” rhetoric. Bitch, if I’m going to Hell from your point of view, I will be best buds with Satan and you can’t fucking stop me.
 
This is part of the reason why I only go to the mosque for Friday prayers and never any time else (not including special periods like Ramadhan or Raya prayers).

I give it another five decades before atheism is violently enforced worldwide and religion will be painted as vilanous.
 
At that point I suspect Islam will be the final boss because it, as a religion, is too goddamn stubborn to submit to modernization, secularization and other progressive forces.
 
I mean, our lads in China are already shamelessly curb stomping its OWN religions to the ground while also severely limiting practices of foreign faiths like Xtianity or Islam.

Yeah. I make sure they know I highly fucking disapprove of that shit. One time I had an argument with a board member and I ended up threatening to tell La Policia about potential extremism and potentially put my mosque in the list but I don’t care.
 
I’m serious about not wanting to support mullahs and clerics like that. I am open to give them a chance but the moment I sniff BS I tell em.
 
I’m in Spain, I’m a muslim in foreign soil and these fucks are making my life harder. What if local spaniards were listening to these preachers’ terrible speech? My life is bad enough already without the added suspicions from the locals, thank you very much.

Now admittedly, I’m speaking solely from an American’s perspective of this, so I can’t speak of a whole worldview scenario, but religion is too deeply rooted in so many aspects of culture. This future you’re describing where religion is persecuted is the same one that Christians like to talk about in scare films. It’s not gonna happen. I could see the scope of religion’s influence in government affairs shrinking, though, which is what things are supposed to be like in this country…

Reminds me of one occasion my dad told me about where a Muslim preacher was shouting his faith at people, and then went on to claim that the Earth is flat. My dad apparently stepped in, they had a debate, and all I can tell you is that it apparently ended with the Muslim guy calling my dad a racist.
 
Again, crazies like this are why I have no respect for organized religion.

To clarify, BTW, I don’t have any hatred towards religious people. I’m not going to point at a Muslim or Christian or whatever who is minding their own business (or even preaching in a nonviolent manner) and say, “Your gods are fake and you smell!” They don’t act like assholes, and we’re good. But the fact that organized religion can lead people to such dickery makes me have disdain for organized religion itself.

Well, there’s a literal religious prosecution china-wide happening right now. Anyone who don’t submit to the religion of the state (which is a godless religion) is getting “re-educated.” Here’s hoping sane countries don’t go the China route.

I have never saw a street preacher in person in my entire life but I seen street preachers on youtube and most of them l’ve seen have been full of crap but the only one I’ve seen to be seemingly ok are “off the kirb ministries”.
