Which Sonic Lost World version you own, the Wii U version or 3ds version?

I got the 3DS one recently, and it’s actually not bad. I like the return of the old badniks. (Eggman even refers to them as “badniks”) and some of the levels are creative. Though, I kinda wish you could run automatically like the old games rather then hold down the R button. The cinematic scenes are pretty amusing too. The Deadly Six are interesting new villains too.

Looks impressive for a fan-game. I like the way you run through loopty-loops with the camera following you through it, rather then shifting outside it. Looks like Sonic 1 in 3D. Some parts of the areas look kinda empty through.

I own the Wii U version, because it doesn’t have the awkward special stage gimmick and levels that goes on forever. And it has DLC.

I think the 3DS one’s movements are easier to control. As for the special stages, if you use the break/stop button alot, they aren’t that bad.
 
Also, wasn’t the NiGHTS DLC only available in earlier copies of the game? So nobody even really got to obtain it?

It’s also a shame there was some backlash when the Yosh & Zelda level DLC were released, (this was back when purchasable DLC was still a touchy issue, as some still see it as “cashing in on releasing the game in pieces,” as opposed to “optional upgrade content.” Some also weren’t keen on seeing Sonic in Nintendo settings.) as it pretty much killed any future DLC for the game, and perhaps most of the Sonic games afterwards.

Funny thing is, when I got the game on the Wii U last year, my copy came with a code for the NiGHTS DLC, but the paper with the code on it said it was long expired, but I tried entering the code anyway… and managed to get the DLC.
 
It’s not really anything special, though; it’s just the Deadly Six boss battles all in a row reskinned as NiGHTS bosses.

if they gave her a playstyle that adds new gameplay elements as well as they did with Tails/Knuckles in the classics while still keeping it similar to the core gameplay, why the heck not

There’s actually a ROM hack where you can play as Amy Rose in her Classic design in Sonic 3 & Knuckles, but with her Sonic Advance 1-style gameplay. I think there are also some ROM hacks like this for the first two Genesis games…

Ahhh… The good ol’ days when we as silly kids/teens would make our own pointless “Sonic Heroes” teams. The nostalgia. Anyone else do that?  
(Yes, I did “Team Skunky” in a silly RP session on a message board many many years back, I was the speester/leader, and 2 of my friends’ characters were the power & flying types, I can’t even remember their characters. Yes, cringey, I know. lol)

I remember this one rather cringey set of “Heroes” OCs where there was this one character named Shade The Fox who was supposed to be a clone of Shadow but his creator accidentally put some of Tails’s DNA in too so he’s a fox instead of a hedgehog (or something stupid like that, it’s been so long that I don’t remember). I can’t remember what the “Flying” member of this team was, but the “Power” member was E117 Sigma, who was literally just a blue and gold palette swap of Omega with the Greek letter sigma on his shoulders instead of Omega.
