Yoda’s species are such a mystery that we still don’t know anything about, like how many actually exist.

Is it true that ”Baby Yoda” is already 50 years old? Seems a bit much doesn’t it?  
How big was he when he was born? The size of tadpole? :-D

Very slowly apparently. But Jabbas son was also 50, if I remember correctly. But Hutts are more like giant slugs or worms.  
Still, I wonder, how big could they be when they are born? They must be very tiny. Also that must be some strain on the mother, caring for a baby for 50 years and it not even reaching toddler stage.

I believe the yoda-thing species is inherently force-sensitive.

It is very possible, especially considering how every prominent member has been able to use the force so far. Also, whatever planet that they came from was clearly hidden even from the empire if there are even still members of the species around.

Yes there was no 40 or 50 some years of stories that inspiration could have been drawn from for what happened after the OT (which even involved Han and Leia’s son falling to the Dark Side).
 
Even putting aside the existence of the Old EU we know George gave them script treatments of what he considered the next trilogy should be.
 
Not saying they had to make his thing the next movies or perfectly adapt EU stories but saying that unlike Marvel (as I feel that was the implication she was making) they had nothing to draw from is SO STUPID.

I mean, it is George we’re talking about, so it might be as good as we think it is, though the old EU is a good place for inspiration.

But as most point out while not the best at scripting is at least good at world building meaning there could have still been things they could have taken from his work.
 
The overall point here remains unchanged saying they had “no source material” after the near half century of works good or ill that they had absolutely nothing to draw from when figuring out their new movies well it justifies my keeping this avatar as my default.

Bruv I love The Mandalorian and I aint even a fan of Star Wars.  
I know nothing of Star Wars and I personally think this series is a good entry point for new fans.
 
Why? Because you’re given ZERO info on anything, there is no lore dump, and just general stuff that could happen in any sci-fi series. You don’t even have to know what the Force is.
 
So maybe The Child is Force sensitive, but for Mando and new viewers they could just scratch it to “ability.” and its race / species wouldn’t matter either.
 
The Mandalorian is my new favorite anime.
