Tha bottom one is me when I’m analyzing a song. Doesn’t matter what genre it is, I literally lie down on my bed with a blank look in my face listening to a song and analyzing everything from the production to the singing to the lyrics to the mood of it.

What if M. Night Shyamalan directed Star Wars Episode VIII instead?

What if Equestria Girls was a pirate story instead of a high school story.
 
After getting her crown stolen from the former student of Celestia and now ruthless Captain Sunset Shimmer, Twilight must go to another dimension where she must join to a pirate crew, gain the trust of the girls and fight to recover her crown. Sea monsters, evil sirens and cursed treasures ahead. Cannons included of course, it wouldn’t be a good pirate story without sea combats with cannons.
 

I had an odd dream that involved the Sonic movie. It involved the joke in the opening sequence to introduce Sonic including hill-billy on a speedboat poaching animals making a gay joke, and the driver (who is gay, indicated by his earrings) slapping him on the back of the head. There was also an espresso joke where he drinks some, and passes out.

While I do not profess to be expert on Shyamalan films despite he’s reputation he doesn’t seem to cram in one swerve after the other into them (to the point of contradiction) rather just one big reveal regardless of with whether it “hits” or not.  
That is what I meant.

I mean just in TLJ it’s inconsistent within itself.
 
Leia explains to Po that “protecting the light was more important than being a hero” in regards about Holdo as if it’s part of he’s arc to learn what it means to actually be a leader but then Holdo does the super heroic thing of sacrificing herself.  
Which leads to Finn’s own attempt at doing the same thing Rose stopping him giving him the “whole it’s not about fighting what we hate it’s about protecting what we love” which was what he was doing anyway cause y’know he’s the character that’s been established as the guy that’s trying to run away but now he’s found something worth dying for something he actually cares about.  
And then just to punctuate it immediately after the “protecting what we love” line the doors to the base are blown open there’s complaints about the humor in this movie but is this one because the comedic timing is perfect.  
I just don’t know what this movie wants me to feel I don’t think it knows either.
