I guess something had to fill the hole left by hillbe and kylie, though at least they bothered with original responses instead of just 9gag memes reposted on facebook or boomer quotes.

If Nuclear Pony really has kids, I feel sorry for them.
Yes, you feel so sorry for kids that you continue to support killing them in the womb. ;)

Having them aborted rather than growing up with you as a parent and role model feels like it would’ve been an act of mercy…

Not really, no. It’s a transparent attempt at whataboutism and I couldn’t give a shit about some obscure representative for a suburb of Richmond where the Republicans didn’t even field a candidate.

You know…the more this impeachment thing plays out, the more I think the original idea of “separation of powers” isn’t going to hold (or hasn’t held for a long time, and we’re only just now realizing it).

At least two of the supposedly separate branches of government have what are effectively both legislative and judicial functions; the Supreme Court can determine law and “legislate from the bench” and Congress can conduct what are often viewed as criminal investigations even if they’re not meant to be; it has powers of arrest and can hold recalcitrant witnesses in contempt, if nothing else.

Even federal executive agencies can produce regulations that have legal force and the Department of Justice, by choosing whether or not to prosecute, can go a long way to establishing the legality of someone’s actions (like Trump).

So yeah. Every branch of the government seems to be dabbling in everything, and I don’t see how it’s possible to keep them from doing so.

Nice try but the House not having impeachment powers wasn’t part of the plan from day 1. It’s literally in the first article of the Constitution. This was intended from day 1. The Legislature IS the law.

Let the process roll on.

@AaronMk
What do you mean “nice try”?

I didn’t say the House wasn’t intended to have powers of impeachment, I said it’s controversial what kind of process impeachment is: a political or a legal one.

“The legislature is the law” sounds nice, and it’s what was intended, but the Supreme Court can still strike down laws and effectively mandate others, and the Department of Justice can decide, to an extent, whether someone has broken the law or not.

I personally think gun control is pretty wack, goes against America’s principle of individual autonomy. Governments typically enact gun control when they’re scared of the populace arming themselves. People actually died to uphold the constitution.

Full support to the second amendment and the right to bear arms.

Lmao, and who’s going to decide if there are charges even? The Supreme Court the president appoints?

Not sure what it is you’re arguing here.
I’m observing the “separation of powers” doctrine looks shaky. I’m not saying anything as to whether that’s good or bad.

I’m arguing you’re not up to speed with your civic knowledge because this is how seperation of power works. You’re just butt hurt that they’re going after ya boye
