I am aware of that. How the principle of allowing others to speak their views was codified in the First Amendment is an ambiguous legal codification. If the Founding Fathers had understood their Enlightenment ideas in the Bill of Rights will be lost overtime, then their statements of the First Amendment and other amendments would not be what they are.
It does not seem to me people editing the amendments to adjust them to their actual meanings is going to happen anytime soon.
