It was determined that Maximum Security slightly moved up the track in the final turn and impeded the path of other horses, including Country House, who had originally finished the race in 2nd place before the disqualification.

I’ve always wondered why there weren’t any big NASCAR crashes in horse racing. Now I know. They’ll DQ you for so much as cutting another horse off, even if it means changing the winner of the Kentucky Derby.

I don’t know if it’s true, but supposedly there’s some kind of suppository you can get that will jazz a horse up for a race. (It’s also about a foot long and as thick as your wrist, so maybe they don’t need drugs. I’d probably be able to do the minute mile if that was rammed up my backside.) That is if it doesn’t kill them. So horse uppers I guess?
I seem to remember reading about some people getting nailed for that, but it was years ago.

This is the second time in the history of the Kentucky Derby that the winning horse was disqualified. (1968—Dancer’s Image was disqualified after testing positive for phenylbutazone, a pain killer, after traces of the drug were allegedly found in the post-race urine test.)

Drake had courtside seats at all of the Toronto home games. He didn’t go to any of the road games because he’s a coward. He knows that outside of Toronto, he would never be allowed to interfere in the game with his obnoxious antics and behavior.
