I think the three rangers from Dairanger who get the most focus are Ryou, Daigo, and Kou.

It’s gotten more fans in recent years, but even when it was airing it was very divisive.

I feel like it’s confusing and I don’t know what’s happening at points. Like is Decade supposed to be a hero or a villain with how this other guy is saying he’s a Destroyer.

Tsukasa’s a fun guy to watch; just enjoy that and the past suits and don’t get a migraine trying to make sense of its un-plot.

There’s also the ever mysterious Narutaki and his most famous line, “onore decade!”.

Decade is very dreamlike.

Gokaiger definitely fixed most of Decade’s flaws and mistakes, such as actually getting the actual original actors and actresses from the previous seasons instead of using lookalikes and balancing the tributes with plenty of regular episodes.

I found this weird similarity between Decade and Gokaiger,Diend and Basco. Villains that everyone likes but I kinda find annoying.

If ever they adapt ToQger, then the train that let Scott from RPM cross dimensions to meet the Samurai Rangers was theirs.
 
(I know that’s not what we’re talking about right now but I can’t sleep and I thought of that now at 4 AM.)

Dairanger seems to be one of those Sentai where most of the Monsters of the week are treated more like Generals or other high ranking officials of the Gorma.

Does anyone know the name of that one song from Dairanger? I’m talking about the one that is oddly similar to the imperial march from Star wars.

Does anyone else here remember seeing this show? Space Giants, with Goldar laying the smack down on Evil Space Emperor Rodak’s monsters every week?

The English dub is on the Japanese blu-ray but it’s four hundred dollars.From waht I’ve heard,The Blu-ray is full of cool extras,including an alternate English pilot.

EDIT: Nearly $400 for the Blu-Ray and over $800 for the DVD version? I may have to wait until it gets re-issued.

Dairanger probably had the most Bizarre finale arc of any sentai, especially in regards to the revelations of the Gorma.

I’ve noticed that there are a few Youkai in Kakuranger that seem to serve no purpose other than to just be there in the background or in a crowd with other Youkai that are actually monsters of the week. They don’t seem to serve that purpose nor are they even generals. For one example, one of them is a cyclops.

I know the whole franchise is a toy commercial, but even so… did we really need an episode ENTIRELY dedicated to beating you over the head with “Look how cool Ryusouls are! You should collect them all and trade them with your friends!?” I know sentai hasn’t been selling like it used to, but this episode screams desperation to the point that I’m embarrassed for them.

I like how each of the Youkai in Kakuranger actually got their own Bios that typically included real life Mythology, at first done by the Narrator and done by the Youkai themselves later on.
