@Mikey
If Nintendo does release a Switch 2, and it’s design resembles the original Switch with the removable and swappable controllers, and not the Switch Lite, I’ll buy it.
A full size Switch with video out HDMI, with better processor and graphics, is exactly what I want from Nintendo.
But people have been speculating for some time now that Nintendo wants out of the hardware business and just focus on software.
Either follow a “bring your own device” type of deal where you can access Nintendo games and services from your phone.
Or continue to supply games for a console, but instead the consoles are designed and brought to market by someone else.
That could be like having a Switch 2, or a new system that succeedes the Switch, but you could have 2 or 3 different vendors making the consoles, they all run software supplied by Nintendo and run the same games, but each system from a different vendor meet different needs.
Like one system is full spec, is beefier and maybe costs a bit more.
Another one is smaller, lighter and more portable and costs less.
And another might be built differently enough for someone who’s not happy with the other options.
Kind of like what the PC market is now, they all run Microsoft Windows, but there’s enough variety that everyone can have a system built to their needs.
I’d hate to live in a Apple world where everyone’s computers are ALL Macintosh’s and nobody does custom builds.
Kinda like when you go to a car show and everyone checks out each other’s cars.
The limit to individuality I have ever saw in a Mac user was if they put stickers on their case and what they had for a wallpaper…
