Firaxis games all have a bad problem where their lategame has the player just going through the motions.

Got Cuphead on steam.

My problem wasn’t late game though. More like first half/middle part. Have you played XCOM 2?
 
For those that haven’t, there’s a defense mission where your base crashes and you have to destroy a disrupting beacon. Enemies spawn every turn, sometimes even twice per turn. It’s supposed to wear you down but for me it took 3 hours and killed all of my best dudes.
 
I’m not one to give up quickly but if I get frustrated, I quit. I play games to have fun.

Have fun, it’s a great game. Lovely soundtrack and art style too.

Okay, spellfire might be out, but it seems like there’s some method of killing orcs that if survived, they come back looking like they joined KISS upon resurrection.

Having a turret room built and upgraded helps some, and having a concealed Ranger/Reaper playing spotter for a Sharpshooter also helps immensely for picking off that beacon.

I’ll keep that in mind for next time I try. I really do enjoy the game, up until that point. Same with XCOM 1 and the first time you encounter Crysalids. I did manage to finish that one eventually though.

Sadly, I’m on PS4. I only have some basic mods installed and something called obsidia weathers(?) I forgot exactly what it was called but goddamn does it make things so crisp and pretty. I also cheated with a smithing mod and a shit ton of Oghma Infinium books. Now I’m walking about clad in Dragonplate armor and wrecking things with destruction magic.

Fair warning in that, although the game plays coy about it, at least one base defense is mandatory per playthough. There’s a Dark Event that may or may not trigger one early, but if one never happened then late in the game you are automatically thrust into one to make up for it.

Yooka Laylee does the one thing everyone wants and that is 3D platformers.
 
Unfortunately, that’s also its greatest weakness because 3D platformers are pretty stale when you don’t add any new or interesting mechanics, plus they pretty much copied the older games for nostalgia, instead of trying something new.

Magic Archer is under Strider?

We need more games about what America would be like if the South won in the Civil War.

Krosmaga is the best card game I’ve ever played. I’ve never thought of a time I’ve tried to be so tactical in deck building, or come up with enough strategies that I need multiple decks to realize them all. I’ve even planning out new decks in advance for upcoming updates.
 
That’s so unlike me. Even in Hearthstone(which I liked before all that wild and standard mode bullshit), I just threw whatever looked cool into one deck per class.

Generations of selective breeding has turned the Negro race into the a mindless slave race with the sole purpose of serving their masters. And those that don’t obey those genes? Well, Americans took notes on the “progress” of German camps they found during WWII.  
How that for a start?

I don’t know, you’re kinda jumpin’ to WW2 and there’s quite a bit of history in-between I feel you’d need to cover first.
 
And i feel even lumping Nazis in there would turn the whole thing into another Wolfenstein, aside from the ‘Negro pets’.
