It was a little bit of a tearjerk right until the whole “BUT I WONT DIE MUH SEEDS WILL SPREAD N SHIT” and Tails going “UR MUH FRIEND” instead of saying that he loved her even though it was obvious that he did view her as more than a friend throughout the series. Fuck 4kids, fuck them, their abominations deserve to roast in the flames of hell.

Apparently A: they don’t think kids will understand the concept of death, and B: they think the kiddies watching think girls have cooties, hence the “you’re my friend instead of obvious love interest”.

I watched Sonic X back when it was okay to like Sonic and I enjoyed it. Looking back, it was kind of dumb and the edits that 4K!DS made made it kind of suck, but the arc with Cosmo was a tearjerker after we’d grown to know her and like her, and especially after the entire season had built up his romance dynamic with Cosmo. Honestly, I’m almost afraid to talk about it here, since I know that the Sonic and brony fandoms notoriously hate each other.

I remember back when cartoons didn’t mind showing romance and death. Actually, no, I don’t, but I watch a lot of cartoons from the ’80s and ’90s.

I’ve noticed the fandom war, especially seeing how any time crossover art (even good, quality stuff) is uploaded here it tends to get downvoted
 
I happen to be a fan of both so I don’t really understand it, but at the very least I’ve noticed that the bad blood seems to have simmered down somewhat over the years, or at the very least it’s not as vocalized as it used to be
 
that and the forums are somehow full of people who are neutral towards or haven’t seen MLP anyways so at least here on the forums you shouldn’t run into any trouble with that

And love is literally in just about every single childrens film to an extent, hell love is a central theme for sooooo many different things out there.

True. I mean, I’m not really a huge fan of either, to be honest, but I don’t hate either like a lot of people seem to do. I’m more of a fan of the Sonic fanart than the show itself.
