Well that’s mostly because the writers don’t even want to exploit that and use her just to give a lesson without a single care about characterization.

As for Trixie, yeah, she’s a hammy showoff with a big mean-streak, something that needs to be worked on (and I guess might be in the ever-decreasing chance she returns) but I find amusing. But canonically, and for a lot of the fandom, that’s a really bad thing, but an endearing trait for Dash; the reason I don’t like it in Dash is because she’s supposed to be above that. But she’s not, just left as a “well that’s just how she is, moving on…”. Another scene reinforcing that stance wouldn’t help me like her, nope.

The only friends Dash can have are the people she’s already friends with, it seems. And do remember that she physically assaulted an upcoming hero because she was jealous of the limelight they were getting over saving people.

But just look what happened with Marble and Limestone. Limestone is grumpy as hell at the start and dislike the apple because she has to run her farm and is afraid AJ would ruin everything. She warms up at the end but does fandom remember that? Nope. “Damn she’s a bitch marble is such a cutie”.

You’re definitely not wrong. Rainbow Dash’s character can sometimes be construed as “bad” because of how she treats her friends and other ponies. With all of the awful traits she exhibited in S2 as it was, this would have only put another nail in her coffin.

Oh the scene would’ve fit perfectly for her character. Problem is her character already had a lot of shitty moments in S02, and this would’ve just been another big one. How are kids meant to associate Dash as one of the good guys and Gilda, Trixie, Lightning Dust, etc. as the bad guys when Dash has as many or more “mean” scenes than they do, and seems to only be nice to her friends (and not always even then)?

Yea, who cares about realstic characters, that can make mistakes, progress over himself, sometimes be egoistic or not polight?  
Yea, thats stupid. We want simple, blunt, cutie characters, that can only swim in rainbows and eat cakes.

Rainbow Dash has gotten better over the seasons as far as ego and obliviousness goes but she is still kind of a brash jerk at time. By the way, Rainbow Dash was in the right for trying to make Fluttershy come with her to see dragon migration since she had to sit through a painstakingly boring butterfly migration with her.

Compare the Dash who tripped all over herself trying to accommodate Fluttershy’s nervousness about Nightmare Night in Scare Master last week with the Dash who tried to drag Fluttershy out of her house to watch the Great Dragon Migration in Season 2.
