So I was wondering… Since she’s no longer bitter about Twilight as of the end of the episode, does that mean she’ll set her mane back?
Just today, I realized - we do have a scene of her after that make-up party - this one!
…And, sure enough, her mane seems to be back to Twilight’s!
Now, maybe it’s just for the helmet? But, nah, I think it’s because she’s back to her old, non-bitter self :3
Honestly, I was bothered by the implication in this scene, but it was unfounded in hindsight.
Hell, you can even tell her hair is still messy in this picture.
True, but I’d always thought that the updo was less of a hairstyle and more that she’d let her hair grow out too far and was trying to avoid this: >>970802
That was another thought I had…
Ikr? Almost everything I love about Twi is present in Moondancer. Only thing is she was kind of a wee bit of a jerk, up until her reformation, where she obviously became softer and nicer, but the extent if that is completely unknown, meanwhile, we’ve seen how adorably nurturing Twi can be to Spike.
However, reviewing her “Cutie Re-Mark” cameo… It’s not much to go off of, certainly, but she does seem to not only be patient with Spike falling asleep, but seems to find it endearingly cute, much like Twilight might but maybe even a bit more patient. This suggests to me that maybe she does have a gentle, nurturing side - we just haven’t seen much of her since her come-around so this is all we have to go off of for now.
Also, that was a pretty cute little gentle pet to wake him :3
If that is the case, though, then I’d dare say Twilight has 50/50 competition, just about. That would mean that either would fulfill everything I want in a partner…
Moony does come VERY close for me to be fair. She’s very adorkable <3
Or she was wearing a helmet, which would make the updo uncomfortable.
I still prefer Moondancer of Minuette. Glasses, sweater, adorable manestyle, and a love of books? Can’t beat that.
This last time I re-watched the episode I’ve started thinking of her as the Pinkie Pie of the Canterlot Six. I think she kind of is a toned-down Pie. Less random and crazy, but just as outgoing, energetic and friendly.
I loved Minuette before this episode and after it she’s one of my favourite characters. In fact, out of the Canterlot Six, she’s by far my favourite.
Agreed. She went from a background character I didn’t care about to one of my favorites.
Couldn’t be the latter. We saw her as an adult with the Twilight-mane. In the flashback to the party.
Relevant.
It makes me very happy, since that manestyle is FAR cuter than the Twilight-like one.
(Or that the animators were too lazy to recreate the hair on the flash puppet for the mare version :)
Aaaaahh galdarnit.
…
This upsets me way more than it has any right to >.>
