Kinda a cynical attitude there, and regardless companies aren’t made of money like you think or have unlimited supplies of it. (And are made up of REAL people/employees who could face layoffs, and no, not all of them are “evil rich people,” and many are just normal people doing even minor things) If they lose to much cash if they face to many lawsuits or lost profits, they could pull the plug on the show too, so said “karma” could backfire on the fans too.
 
So honestly, I don’t like everything Hasbro does either, (especially the JanAnimations incident) but I don’t get the attitude people have that any company that makes money is automatically evil.

The worst that will happen is the font being pulled from the website, while legions of paralegals and interns examine every product ever for an exact match, then the whole thing being settled for an “undisclosed sum” within a few months.

The two are almost identical; I can see why Font Brothers is claiming Hasbro is plagiarizing them.

These guys DO realize the only publicity stunt they’ll pull is that people will pirate their stuff either in vengeance if this does kill the show or out of morbid curiosity thanks to the Streisand Effect, right?

I’m sure it won’t effect the show at all. Worst case scenario is that Hasbro will have to make a minor payout and swap the fonts out on the new episodes of the show. We’ll have backup copies of the “real” versions of the episodes
 
It’s not like megacorporations like Hasbro are actually subject to law the same way private citizens are.
 
There’s nothing wrong with wishing for a little bit of a karmic spanking for them.

I didn’t even know fonts were subject to licensing and copyright.

I’d be extremely surprised if Font Brothers actually wins this.

This lawsuit better not do anything to my show.

According to zoominfo, Font Brothers has 10-20 employees with annual revenue of 1-5 million dollars. Hasbro has 5-10,000 employees with 1-5 billion in annual revenue. Yeah. If I was Hasbro’s CEO, I’d forcibly buy them out and make the Font Brothers officers clean the corporate toilet with their bare hands. Either that or just have some brake lines cut. I don’t even like Hasbro, but this is a real dick move.

Even better if it actually has an effect on Hasbro and that they don’t just play this out however they damn well please with their squad of corporate lawyers causing an infinite stream of delays that will allow them to swap fonts with little actual penalty.
