@Badumsquish
I suppose “monstrous” is open to interpretation and a very subjective word to use… I mean, Princess Luna’s got her Nightmare Moon-form, but Celestia’s just… really tall.
… Does that count? :/
… we need more tall-jokes with the environment… there’s not enough of them… I’m particularly a fan of this one:
@Trilby Pony
What I get a kick out of when doing mythological monsters as ponies, is when the ponies themselves are magical it makes a double standard. It’s like you could call out Maredusa for being an ancient creature with terrifying powers and a monsterous form, and she could just be like “so’s Princess Celestia, you jerk!”
@Revenant Wings
You don’t have to worry about the snakes on her head. They act independantly of her, but they share her emotional state. If she likes you, the snakes like you as well and won’t nip or anything like that.
@Badumsquish
That doesn’t sound so bad, if it takes direct eye contact as opposed to seeing her at all. Look at her nose or mouth when talking to her and you’ll be fine?
@Blissey1
Oh yes. Look her in the eyes and you’re turned to stone, whether she wants to petrify you or not. Thankfully it’s not that serious in Equestria; with things like Cockatrices running about, Equestria sells anti-purification potions over the counter in pharmacies and even some convenience stores.
@Parallel Black
I based her on a diamondback rattlesnake. He was frigging hard to do; I’m actually surprised at how difficult it is to make a totally unremarkable and normal looking OC character.
@Pagan
Hey, if I was able to have friends while being in a relationship with the thing I used to date, well, he should be just fine ;D
@Bionomaly
Even Maredusa needs to tie one on once and a while. One of the perks of having everyone flee in terror: you don’t pay for drinks. Normally she just sits by her lonesome at the bar, enjoying a drink and talking to her snakes, but this time around somepony didn’t flee and she spotted the blinders. That’s an opportunity she’s not letting go of anytime soon.
