In their character applications for roleplays, the two separated on less then positive terms and much upset. In large part because of Mythos over estimating his ability to keep certain aspects of his life secret from Star, especially in using his skills and special talent to sell information to others with more then a bit of ill intent. With upset that despite how friendly and charming and friendly Mythos can be, he is willing to do that which hurts others. It also didn't help that the stallion is something of a flankchaser and flirt.
I had it planned for them to work things out at a later date after some character development, perhaps in a fanfiction, but have yet to get too such. Basically, after Mythos comes a better pony and proves his feelings for Star.
