I know. And all because of one person whining.
Blaze looks enough like Spitfire that you’d think they’d have to be related but they’re never said to be. What makes it hard to connect them anyway is that in the first episode to call Blaze by name and give her lines (Rarity Investigates) has Spitfire need to run off because her mom is sick and Blaze doesn’t react to it. There’s no sign that Stormy Flare is also Blaze’s mom (or aunt, or anything.)
Probably was the fandom’s first brush with radfems/essjaydubs.
Such a vile bunch of rejects.
And yet Derpy had to be changed.

It seemed even more noticeable this time. Which is good. It’s cute, and it’s just cool that there’s this elite flier that has a speech impediment, and no great deal of attention is paid to it, it’s just there, you know?

Do the Wonderbolts all have sweptback hairstyles simply because they spend all their time flying around in skintight costumes?
I’m just offering some perspective,saying some ways this could be interpreted and in all likelihood is the “official” reason for these two ponies actions. Now we all got a crash course on bedroom eyes and upper body massage techniques,all in all very informative this comment section wouldn’t you agree.
Bedroom Eyes is the sometimes-sarcastic-sometimes-not term the fandom uses to describe the unintentionally sultry appearance when characters have their eyelids partially lowered, as opposed to the standard open-all-the-way.
no, bedroom eyes are just when a cartoon character has half closed eyes and looking at someone.(only cartoon characters, because real humans can’t really do this, at least not in the way cartoons do it)
