That seems exaggerated. It’s just that bad native speakers and good second language speakers are both more noticeable.
You know what? You’re right… I know exactly how you feel. I’m usually a stickler for proper use of the English language (since my grandmother was an editor and she did most of the work involved in raising me), but, at this point, I’ve seen so much mutilated English that it just doesn’t even register anymore. It’s sad, isn’t it? People don’t know their own language anymore. Those who speak English as a second language are usually better at it than native speakers, probably because they put more effort into learning it.
This is still better English than what I’ve seen in many areas of the internet.
Its weird when you read stuff like this, and your brain skips over it like its normal :D

My guess is he initially grabbed Fluttershy’s arm where she then tried to free herself by swinging her arm. That’s how I think they wound up in that position anyway. Was that a satisfactory answer?
