I can’t speak for ecmajor’s motivation behind this but I can totally see it being a stylistic exploration of the whole Roswell genre of human xenophobia. Besides… For all the obsession on this site with ridiculously hyper-sexualized ponies, are you seriously telling me none of you are interested in the possible anatomical arrangement of their internal organs?

Why the fuck not just use an MRI machine or similar scanner to see her organs without killing her? Even if you don’t care about her ethically, why kill her unnecessarily when you could get the same data nonlethally, plus so much more information from studying her alive, or just, oh, I don’t know, asking her things‽
 
In pursuit of expressing his misanthropy, ecmajor has ignored any kind of common sense. From this image and its description, it seems he’s a great artist, but not a very good person.

Most developed countries appear to be tightly regulated enough not to permit… whatever the hell it is the artist is getting at here… in their ethics approvals process. Assume that a pony is neurophysiologically organised to a degree comparable to higher apes, dolphins and ourselves; able to talk; and glitteringly cute.
 
If the practice and art of science is a discipline of asking questions, may I suggest we would easily be able to find more interesting scientific questions to ask than those of basic anatomy? Most of which you’d be able to actually ask the ponies themselves.

Even from a strictly scientific standpoint, this makes no sense. We could easily scan her insides without cutting her up, and a live test subject gives much more data than a dead one.
