In the theory of Trinity “consubstantiality” means they are “of the same substance”, therefore yes, they “are” the same God. The persons however must not be confounded, as they represent the different “roles” of God. (As stated in the cathechism of the catholic church: the Church confesses, following the New Testament, “one God and Father from whom all things are, and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom all things are, and one Holy Spirit in whom all things are.”)

I’m really late to point this out, but the pony talking to Twilight has a chicken cutie mark, and is sort of chicken like in appearance :3

Early Christians had a similar issue. Who is the most “important” person, The Father, the Son, or the Holy Spirit? The New Testament wasn’t clear on that. After some controversies, the Church Fathers of the II-III century solved the controversy with the theory of Trinity, which held that God is “made of” three persons (Father, Son, Holy Spirit), and each of them had the same “importance” (co-equal, co-eternal, consubstantial). But at the time, there were also alternative theories that rejected Trinity: Arianism, for example, asserted the superiority of the Father to the other persons (“subordinationism”). Later, the theory of “homoiousia” (=”to be identical in substance”), adopted with the First Council of Nicaea of 325, confirmed the “consubstantiality” of the three Divine persons, and doctrines like Arianism were rejected.
 
Maybe an Ecumenical Council held by pony bishops could bring the solution, a “theory of Trinity” applied to Alicorns. please don’t burn me ;_;

I disagree - doing the right thing is right, even if it’s done for a wrong reason, because no matter your motivation it’s the action and effect that counts.
 
Especially if you believe the argument that in the end all altruistic actions are at some level selfish, even if it’s about feeling better about yourself when you help out others.

It’s not religious people/ponies but religious extremists.

Doing the right thing for the wrong reasons/motivation … is still wrong.  
That’s what religious people/ponies seems to never understand.
