Personality:
Chanty is very charming and seductive, but in actuality she is rather venemous. If you’re her friend she loves and protects you, but she has a horrible habit of tormenting ponies she just meets. Chanty takes being part SIREN very seriously and enjoys siren culture as a whole. She prefers sirens and merponies over land ponies any day, but she will respect a land pony with their sea legs. She has a fondness for sea creatures and when she’s around the water her softer side does tend to come out as talking about the sea can make her very emotional. Chanty is a huge flirt, but she is also a control freak and can’t stand the thought of anyone being over her.

   She puts on a very weak and pathetic act to lure people close to her before she sinks her teeth in. She keeps her diet a secret and only eats pirates and other ponies who disrespect the sea to not cause alarm. However, her Aunt Twilight has begun to get a tad suspecious after catching Chanty lure a drunkard out of a bar and out to the ocean. She never had solid proof, but she did start keeping a closer eye on Chanty. Using her song for EVIL would lead to banishment much like her mother before her. 

     The other Sirens call her the unicorn of the sea, but she does actually get along with Sirens rather well. There aren't many of them left, so they were delighted to see a new baby even if she was part pony. They live VERY deep in the ocean now in their own community, and Chanty does visit every few moons with her Mother. Sunset wasn't thrilled about the visits, but she got used to them after awhile and after Chanty seemed to want to go so badly. 

History:

  Sunset had become immortal and didn't know how to cope with it, so she hunted down the only other immortals in the human realm to seek advice. Adagio and the other sirens at first wanted nothing to do with the newfound alicorn, she had taken away a part of them and they were very angry. They didn't want her friendship, and even mentioned that all her friends would die and she would have to watch. This upset Sunset beyond belief and Adagio actually felt some sympathy if only for a moment, she had seen many ponies die but glancing back at her sisters she realized how hard it would be to be immortal alone. So, she softened a bit and let Sunset come into their home and ask questions, an unlikely friendship formed and that blossumed into love. It was many years before Adagio mentioned how sad it was her species was dying out and that she could no longer sing. Her heart had been broken over it, and Sunset felt bad. She had seen Adagio change and was starting to understand why she was the way she was, ponies and sirens are very different. 

    After awhile she got an idea and spoke about having a child, Adagio laughed at the idea. However, Sunset was serious so she arranged a meeting with Princess Twilight and Celestia and plead her case before them in Canterlot. Her human friends were older and had their own lives, she knew they would pass away eventually. Celestia had seen how much her ex student had changed and welcomed her back to Equestria, but was still very weary of Adagio and her sisters. However, Twilight assured her they were harmless since they had lost their voices. Celestia agreed to allow them back in and allowed them to use magic to have a child. Sunset was so excited to tell Adagio the news and the two moved back to Equestria and built a house by the sea. Sunset made sure their home was half aquatic and then they decided to have a child. Adagio reluctantly agreed to have the baby, and soon enough they had an egg to look after. Sunset was very confused and unsure about having an EGG, but she still loved her all the same. 

       Glitz was born in the water and it wasn't until she grew her horn did she figure out how to turn into a regular unicorn. It shocked both of her parents when they looked away for one moment only to look back at the filly climbing out of the pool and shaking off with hind legs. Glitz couldn't use any magic until her horn grew in, but after it did she was a live wire of magical abilities. Especially after she figured out how to project her siren magic through her horn like am amplifier, that left the newly married couple with a VERY powerful baby.

Relationship Notes:

    Parents: Sunset and Adagio are very affectionate parents and so Chanty grew up with a VERY strong concept of love. Sunset was more sesnitive and cuddly and Adagio was much more seductive and charming. The two normally spent time sharing breath, nuzzling or simply playfully reminding each other of their villainous past. This was something they never hid from Chanty, but she never really cared. Sunset is the more fussy one when it comes to caring for their children, she cares about their safety and feelings above most things, and Adagio is more the one who puts her hoof down with them. Despite being the more stern one she still loves her children and gets very hurt when they deny her affection. They are more than her children, they are also the next generation for her species. 

      -Sunset: Chanty and Sunset get along very well, but she is totally Adagio's daughter and Sunset can get a bit jealous over this. Chanty does share Sunset's love of books though and loves it when her mother reads to her, even as she gets older you can still find her with her snout snuggled against Sunset as the mare reads to her daughter softly. Chanty encourages her mother to swim with her often, and as she gets older and BIGGER than Sunset she lets her sunbathe on her back when Adagio isn't around. Sunset is the parent Chanty goes to if she is feeling hurt or lost, she sometimes gets torn up over being a hybrid. 

        -Adagio: Chanty is Adagio's PRIDE AND JOY, she is so proud of her first daughter. They commonly speak to eachother in Siren and Adagio takes her on adventures in the ocean. Adagio loves to listen to her daughter sing and actually cried when she first heard her beautiful song about the sea, she said it just came to her as if the sea was encouraging to her to sing. Adagio gets emotional about this, and Sunset has to cover for her. Adagio hardly ever gets angry with Chanty, but she does worry about her little secret diet, she understands so she doesn't say anything. Chanty comforts Adagio a lot after Cresendo starts getting hateful towards her, and becomes the glue of the family really. 

          -Cresendo: Chanty and Cresendo's relationship started out wonderfully, Chanty always looked after her baby sister despite the fact the little unicorn didn't have any fins of her own and couldn't swim. Chanty didn't care, but as soon as Cresendo got older and REJECTED her siren nature and started accusing Adagio of ruining her by making her part siren Chanty started fighting with her more. She would still eat anyone who dares lay a hoof on her baby sister, but she is very upset over her choice to reject part of herself and constantly hurt their mother. 

           Sonata & Aria: They love their niece a lot, and spoil her a lot. She's a siren and loves being a siren so how could they not? They do tease her about her horn lovingly though and Chanty snorts and says it just makes her more powerful. She sometimes stays over underwater at their home, but she can't stay more than a night or two because she still does have to breathe. Sonata loved her from the start and the first time she smiled with all her sharp little teeth Aria kinda fell for the filly too. They do get testy though if anyone ever messes with Chanty, these two are the first two to give you hell about it despite the fact Chanty is more than able to protect herself.

         Twilight: Twilight has been suspicious of Chanty for awhile, but she always plays dumb and innocent and without any solid proof Twilight can't do anything about it. Twi is still very close friends with Sunset, but is definatly the first to look Chanty's way when something happens near the ocean.  

           Huloo: Chanty enjoys Huloo's personality and chaos, but doesn't like her using her little sister. If it every gets out of hand Chanty isn't afraid to magically blast the 'princess' out of the air, Huloo is also kind of afraid of Chanty. Huloo knows if she is ever caught messing with Cresendo that Chanty will probably drown her.

• Chanty Glitz is half siren/half unicorn but prefers to stay in her actual form
• Chanty became captain of a boat called ‘The Buckaneer’ after eating the former captain for insulting sirens
• Her magic stupidly strong, and it comes out through her singing. She can aplify it if she uses her horn.
• She worked in a tavern by the sea as a singer/waitress before being offered the entertainment job on the buckaneer
• She has siren habits which cause some ponies alarm since most don’t know she is part siren.
• She is pansexual and flirts with many, including other sirens and merponies.
• She doesn’t JUST eat ponies, thats more her dirty little secret.
