Oh my goodness ye. It’ll have to be a slower start to their friendship but it’s infinitely cute xP the batpone gives them a small fishtank filled halfway and a dry spot and heat lamp and later a little fake pond in her backyard, she’s dark gray and orange so they call her Loa for “little orange alp” I don’t have a good way of putting a picture of her though :/ she will squee in the next picture I do now. (Is that thing with a tentacle thing in their tail an actual thing or just Parallel black did himself? I know it’s related to the same characters so I’m confused, and is it for something specifically because they already can hold onto stuff with their tail without used it.. that’s the only thing I can think of I didn’t ask about, sorry if I’m being annoying asking so much stuff 😅)

It would have to be something that was very easy to digest like baby food or honey. They can eat food but just can’t get nearly enough nutrients from it, so basically any regular food is just junk food to them. In terms of how they act, they’re fairly self-centered but not outright malicious in any way: they’re just a product of the environment they live in, like they usually only ever have to worry about themselves. Big thing too is they don’t commonly know how to speak: they’re absolutely intelligent enough and physically able to learn, but only one that’s spent considerable time around (or inside) creatures that speak will know how to. Normally they just squeak XD

I’ve seen that they’re usually pretty shy and can interbreed with their own without any problems, it looks like they’re a foot long, but is there anything behaviorally or biologically that’s important to making an oc? I just want to get all those alp-y facts so I don’t suddenly remember something important and I have information on and ask again and be bothersome be always asking stuff XI

Interesting..is the reason they’re unreative pasive magic though? Like how Pegasi can cloudwalk? And what is the special way it needs to be prepared? That’s one thing I had no idea about, I figured if they live in the wild they would probably just eat whatever they find and they parasitize because they’re lazy and want food to come to them.

Their cells resist it by being completely unreactive to it: it can’t draw water out of their cells to react with, and their bodies are resistant to fairly high temperatures. For lifespans it’s probably around 50 years. Other than that it’s just presumable stuff, like they have no defensive mechanisms whatsoever outside of their resistance to acid, they like dark warm soft enclosed spaces (so as a pet they’d like being held and cuddled), and they can’t get any form of nutrition from food unless it’s either digested or specially prepared beforehand :D

{After a long mixup that made me feel dumb…} what makes them indigestible? Is it a innate magical ability or do they produce some kind of mucus on their skin? I assumed that it was magic at first but I’m not sure. But if they were killed and eaten I would say that the ability would go away. However that’s works for the mucus theory too. I have an oc who has a pet one that they..caught..and later became friends with, she’s super needy x3.
