This may be years late, but I just did a reread of this fic and realized the huge error I made here. Vinyl was officiating the wedding; it wasn’t her wedding exactly. She was officiating for Rock and Kalinka. Everything else was accurate though.
Terrorist suicide-bombs Vinyl’s wedding, which due to spoilers results in World War 3.
This is supposed to lead into the Megaman X era sequel featuring X with Octavia, and the sheer tragedy of it all is supposed to explain why Doctor Wily, despite being a good guy by the end of this story, still makes Zero and the Maverick Virus.

I remember catching a glance of that story’s summary! At first I thought what I saw was just an illusion but it turns out my eyes weren’t lying!
checks this guy’s stories So this guy likes making crossover stories that involve young versions of the ponies ending up with characters from different franchises? Huh. This makes my crossover story ideas feel more basic. Why does he like making these kinds of stories though?
