As Zephyr Breeze proves, certain colors don’t necessarily have to go with certain parts. His colors are more or less Fluttershy’s, but on different areas than hers’.
And, even before that, the Apples could lend credence to that, more or less.
Applejack has a yellow mane, green eyes, and orange coat. Big Mac has an orange mane, green eyes, and red coat. Apple Bloom has a red mane, amber/orange eyes, and a yellowish olive coat. And, younger Granny had a yellow mane, orange eyes, and a green coat.
Also, neither of Twilight’s parents have a mulberry coat, or purple eyes, but, Twilight’s mom does have purple in her mane.
Ponies have to have some of the most unrealistic genetics ever. XD
I’m not sure if the authors theory on pony genetics switching mane and tail colors is completely viable,with the show having only a select amount of ponies actully confirmed offspring of eachother (Rainbow Dash defiantly got her fathers mane)it’s hard to make any major rules but it’s always good to see people trying to figure that stuff out. Decent OC offspring but a female pegesus child of Flashligth has been done many times. Why not a male Unicorn of something?
I like the guide, and I like the ship. It’s interesting how you can usually track the time an offspring OC was made by its deviation from their parents, and sometimes even see which other OCs inspired this one.

I like offspring for actual ships I like. It pisses me off when there’s shit like ShiningTwicestand people don’t actually tag that despite me having it blocked. If it’s shipping I really wish people would add the ship tag.
