I actually like the pic, AJ looks cute in it, and while I don’t personally see AJ as being trans, I think it is a nice idea, and don’t see anything wrong with others having the same headcanon.

People do - there are downvoters and commenters on this image who have filtered “pride”, “transgender”, “applejack”, etc, and have had those things filtered for years - but are still are here complaining about the theme of the image and downvoting.

I don’t know why people can’t just filter out things like “tansgender” or something if they don’t like pics like these.

And also, did a check on ~50 of the used filters in the downvote list; 3 filter mouthpiece, most just use everything, or something filtering out specific artists and the usual “nope” fetishes. (Miss)applying the tag would’ve done nothing other than require some other excuse to shitpost in the comments.

Yes they are clearly cis in the show that’s not what anyone is arguing, no one has said they think they are actually trans, the only thing that has been argued is potential sexuality and nothing else, the artist made it very crystal clear this is an AU AJ.

The reason the score is so low is because it’s been a fucking “meme” to shit on any non-white or LGBT-related headcanon images that aren’t sexual in nature since PB, and because /mlp/ people think shitting on it is “top kek” and had a thread directing people here to tag-team/show-off their shitposting. The downvoters list is pretty much 80% people with very little other voting activity, or outright known /mlp/ funnymen and endgelords.

Really, tbh, the mods brought this on themselves by saying not to apply the “mouthpiece” tag to a mouthpiece - and so a lot of people are upset at seeing AJ tote a sociopolitical view they dislike - not that they necessarily even disagree. But, I guess I’ll take that discussion to the mouthpiece thread

All-in-all, though, the thing is, in this particular image it really looks like AJ’s being used to push the agenda of trans pride, and it’s pretty apparent the artist wants to push it. Honestly, I think trying to keep the “mouthpiece” tag off this image is the reason its score is so abyssal. If people could just filter it like so many - at least like 5 in this thread have actually made the effort to scroll down and state - wanted to, then I don’t think they would’ve downvoted it and its score would be much better.
