They wouldn’t even have to go the villian route.
Since they would know the pony version, the Humane 5 could want to try to befriend the human version.
If you think about it, if they went with had no real friends while growing up, like Pony Starlight, the human version of Starlight could very well be very heart wrenching when it comes to backstory.
Or something somewhat similar to the one she had back when she ran her Equal town.
She’d probably have a different hairstyle.
