Artist’s description from DA:
“Between a miner and a dragonslayer, the only difference is in what both dig in, either is the hard cold rock of the subsoil or the impenetrable scales of the dragons’ heads.
It really does not make any difference to me.”
                                                              Rockshield's motto.
Lord Rockshield of Hollow Shades the Dragonslayer, one of the greatest heroes of the First Kingdom of Equestria and serving under the Two Sisters, is known for his ferocity and hate towards the dragon kind. His very helm is made after one of his toughest opponents, Windrasil the Mountain. Yet, his most known sworn enemy is the last Draconian Lord and last descendant of the First Kin (or Divine Dragons): Dagghart the Warlock.
His shield, made of lonsdaleite, killed loats of dragons, and till today none know how such a simple thing could stop the powerfull breaths of the dragons or Dagghart’s dark spells. Some say that was Starswril the Bearded, Rockshield’s closest friend, to enhance the shield but the mystery still remain. However, no one know his end: some tell of an eroic death, other of a less legendary retirement with his lover, the Sun Princess’ Shadow Spicey Sting in Saddle Arabia.
None know, none want to.

That’s some well crafted armor he has right there. Let us hope that the weight does not affect his skill.
