To be fair the Sonic games, and comics were both always different canons from each other, despite the comics adapting some canon from the games, cartoons, and such.
Actually, the semi-reboot & retcons the Archie Sonic series went through wasn’t the writer’s fault, as it was mandated by Sega due to the Ken Penders’ incident, to avoid further legal problems with him.
Now that Sega is no longer licensing Archie, (and the series ended without even a chance to do a proper finale) they’re giving the Sonic comic series to IDW, which is apparently going to be a completely different brand new series.
Honestly, I’m going to miss the Archie Sonic series. It’s a shame it had to end so close to 300 issues. (Not counting the Sonic Universe, Sonic Digest, Sonic Boom, Sonic X, Knuckles, miniseries, Specials, and such issues. Which is ALOT of issues!)
They weren’t until 51, which is definitely better, coinciding with canon more. The mane issues that tie in to the show, I find, tend to be more entertaining than Legends of Magic. It goes both ways, though. ^w^
Just now got caught up on the comics (I was months behind). Saw this image in the comic and instantly thought “XK class end of the world scenario” XD. Got on here to look for it, and wasn’t disappointed with the tags.

damn son lol although on the fair part id have to say hasbro doensnt affiliate with the comics as said in a video from the main writer. because they are “IDW” not hasbro. I don’t see the comics for the same as the show. the show and the comics are 2 seperate things which the main writr herself has nothing to do with as I believe lol its like the very first question https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=15&v=L55h8Hszczw from what i see btw coughs 4:00 is my favorite part lol
