We’ll never (as far as I know) feature anything hidden (spoilered is another matter) by the default filter.  
As for custom filters, featuring is about “this art is good”, not just whether people will like an image; In fact, I myself don’t like Fallout:Equestria, but I don’t let that stop me from enjoying art based on it.

Images are usually featured for three days. The mods will probably put something silly up for April 1st tomorrow. On April 2nd they may switch back to this image for another two days or feature a different image.

Yeah, I put Fallout Equestria on my spoiler list for a reason….  
The art is pretty decent, don’t get me wrong. I just don’t want to see this on the featured page because I don’t really like it. and seeing a “Spoilered” image for the next week is going to be annoying.

The art is all right but I don’t know or care about Fallout Equestria.

I really wasn’t expecting an image from Fallout Equestria to be featured. We haven’t had an Equestria Girls featured image so far, go figure.
 
Frankly I don’t quite like it (not the image itself, which is beautiful), but the fact that many - like me - don’t know the story behind FE and have no clue about the subject.
 
I like the visual impact as it is, but I know I’m missing something.

I know I’m really anal about this, but it bothers me when people draw littlepip without green eyes :P. Other than that brilliant work!

Well, it seems to have some kind of isolation.

I would not want something that releases steam attached to my arm. Hot enough steam can cause bad burns.

I have a theory, In steampunk Fallout she came from a vault with a hightech pip but it was destroyed by a bandit, she later found an old steampunk one and had to adapt to an older style that way preserving the past into the future

I don’t like how her “pitbuck” is steam powered it would be loud and inconvenient.
