It really does. I’m going to headcanon this.

It all make sense now, from season 1 to season 7 twilight writing letters to princess celestia about friendship lessons, twilight learn these lessons and celestia learn these lessons too, i mean she got the land of equestria to rule with these important valuable lessons.

Except she does learn. She hasn’t lived down any of the mistakes she’s made and she’s acknowledged that using magic to solve your problems doesn’t work.
 
If you were paying attention at all during season 7, you would know she’s learned not to take the use of magic lightly in dealing with problems of any kind. The whole point of her appearance in the finale was to lay down that she understands that sometimes you should think it through before using magic to accomplish something, because there might be consequences.
 
It’s fine that you don’t like her, but the excuses that keep getting made for hating her are very rapidly having no base in fact.

Celly is the best mom-horse a person could ask for.
